How do I mail wooden invitations and save the dates?

Most buyers say that the best way is to personally bring them to the post office and have them stamped with ‘nonmachinable’ stamps.

What is the cost to mail my wooden invitations?

You can find HERE  the prices for non-machinable stamps. You can search for the word “nonmachinable”, you will see that there is a “$0.22 nonmachinable surcharge”.
In some cases a post office may require them to be mailed via Parcel Mail. We have found that most post offices are understanding when it comes to hand stamping. We recommend trying a different post office if you don’t have success your first try. Some post offices have slightly different policies and may not stamp your invitations with ‘nonmachineable’ stamps”.You would have to explain that your envelope cannot pass through a “sorting machine” otherwise it will rip the envelope. It is extremely rare that we have had any complaints of the wood invitations breaking, but the few times that we have it has been because of these mail stamping/sorting machines.
We are not responsible for any damage caused by sorting machines and for not following this recommendations.

What is the turnaround time for a sample?

All of our samples are made to order and will be ready in 3 – 5 days.

What is the turnaround time for a full order?

We usually need 1-2 weeks to make a full order.

Do you offer RUSH service?

Yes, if you have a tight deadline, you may add rush production to your order for an additional $30 – $50.00 depending on the order. Production will take 3-5 business days, versus the normal 1-2 weeks. Contact us for more details at contact@mysavethedates.com

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major debit and credit cards. Payments are processed via your Amazon account, PayPal or through our secure server.

Do you require a minimum order size?

No. We will be happy to make small orders!

Can I customize fonts and the design?

Yes, once you place a full order we will work with you to customize the wording, fonts and design.

Can you create a custom design?

Yes, we can work with you on a custom design at no extra cost.

Can you print my own design?

Yes, we will be happy to print your own design. You can send us a  AI, SVG, or PDF to contact@mysavethedates.com

Can we include text in a foreign language?

Yes, if you provide us the text ready for us to copy and paste.

Will my laser engraved/cut item be perfect just like a printed paper invitation?

Our items are not printed. The engraving/etching is a process in which designs are burned onto the surface of a piece of wood and it takes several hours/days to make, sand, clean and finish an order. You can literally feel the engraving on the wood. Each item is made from natural wood and there may be slight variations in the color and in the engraving or laser cutting , also the color may be slightly different due to photo lighting, unique nature of the wood and your computer color and brightness settings.
